- Only about half of Americans get the recommendes daily 320 to 420 milligrams of the mineral. But that's easy to fix.
- Just two-thirds cup of spinach, 30 almonds our a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat each delivers about 100 milligrams of magnesium, which is enough to lower diabetes risk by 15%, scientists say.
